| James Swearingen is unquestionably
one of the most performed composers of band music in the world today.
A recipient of numerous ASCAP awards, his trend-setting compositions and
arrangements have a style and energy that are truly exceptional. It should
come as no surprise that year after year his music is received enthusiastically
by student musicians and band directors from all parts of the world. Equally
recognized for his contributions to education, he currently serves as
Department Chair of Music Education at Capital
